Help students succeed inside and outside the classroom
Rising Scholars is a life and career readiness program for under-resourced high school students. We help students pursue the purpose God has for them by helping them answer three important questions:
We connect volunteers with the students to guide them through their high school journey. This relationship between a caring adult and a student is central to the program’s success.
The program helps students succeed in their education, grow spiritually, accomplish goals, make career choices, and develop healthy relationships. Students begin to become leaders while they are crafting their futures.
Rising Scholars’ 4-year program is a train-the-trainer model. City Gospel Mission equips volunteers from local churches with content-rich videos and supplemental workbook activities that provide students with knowledge, life skills, leadership skills, and other essential tools for success.
We want to reach as many students as possible and provide the support necessary for them to be successful beyond high school.
