Just $2.04 is all it takes to give a warm meal and care to a person who is hungry, homeless or hurting. It’s such a small amount – but it has the power to change a life. To a person experiencing homelessness, it’s more than a meal. It’s hope.
Hot MealsIn the past year, 910 people in Hamilton County spent time sleeping on the streets. City Gospel Mission provides safe shelter, nutritious meals, hot showers and much more. You can reach out into the streets and help save a life right now.
Overnight ShelterCity Gospel Mission’s Holiday Programs offer a Thanksgiving grocery store and a Christmas gift store for people with very low incomes. Parents and caregivers experience the dignity of providing for their families by having choices and buying in to their blessing.
Holiday ProgramsWe see heartache and brokenness in the eyes of the men and women who come to our recovery programs. But with those defeated emotions there is often a hopeful seeking… for something different, something better. Our residential recovery programs help renew their hope and rebuild their lives.
RecoveryFeatured in Runner’s World Magazine and highlighted in many news stories, Step Forward unites and mobilizes volunteers to help men and women in addiction recovery at City Gospel Mission to break the cycle of poverty, despair and addiction. We show God’s love to them while training for and then participating in the Cincinnati Flying Pig and Queen Bee.
Step ForwardMen and women who graduate from our residential recovery programs need support as they transition to self-sufficiency. Our transitional apartments offer independent living with supportive services for our recovery program graduates. And our aftercare program offers supportive services like counseling, mentoring and group meetings. This extra support helps men and women maintain sobriety, find long-term housing and rebuild their lives.
AftercareJobsPlus offers career development and job placement free to the community. There are traditional courses for people needing help with basic life skills, and a Fast Track course for advanced job seekers.
