“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” — Winston Churchill
At the end of your life, what do you want your legacy to be? Will you be known for your style of dress, your work ethic, or how you spent your time?
Perhaps these ventures are your trademark. But what if your mark in the world was best represented by the young people whose lives have been changed because of your influence? Do you want your life to be remembered in a tangible, lasting way?
Successful mentoring is done by people who have prioritized their time in such a way that it counts. The next generation can be transformed by the nurturing that they receive today.
You may think that you need to be famous or super talented to reach a child; actually, you just need to be consistently available and caring.
It is good to be known for who we are, but it is equally necessary that we are known for what we do.
Can mentoring be done by someone like you? It certainly can if you are bothered by teen violence, crime, and a lack of direction and purpose that affects many members of Generation Z.
The youth whom you care for will be better future parents, teachers, and citizens.
Will you join us in this effort? God will equip you for His service to youth.
“Only what you do for Christ will last.”
The City Gospel Mission youth mentoring program is looking for churches and individuals to partner with for the school year. If your church has a calling to minister to Greater Cincinnati’s youth, please email us at youthmentoring@citygospelmission.org to learn how you can make an impact in their lives.
